Hi, I'm Harriet, Digital Media Intern at A Style Set! I have always loved being creative. When I'm not delving into the world of fashion, I am either drawing, crafting or working away at design projects. I love spending time in nature and enjoy curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
WHERE I’M FROM:
Auckland, New Zealand!
MY OOTD:
With having university every day, a balance between cute and comfy is a must. My go-to outfit is a pair of jeans paired with a cozy cardigan and some funky sneakers. Also, can't leave the house without accessorising with gold jewellery and a bow in my hair.
TRENDS I’M SEEING WHERE I LIVE:
With winter on its way where I live, I am seeing lots of different layering combinations. People are having a lot of fun layering, with trench coats and boxy, oversized jackets popping up everywhere. It has been making me very excited to dress for the colder months!
HOW I GOT INTO FASHION:
I have always had a fascination with fashion but didn't get really into it until recently. Since I was little, I have always been creative and have loved making things and drawing. Fashion is just another way to express creativity! I also love second-hand shopping and have recently started getting into knitting and sewing with the goal of making my own clothes.
CURRENT FASHION FAVORITE:
I am obsessing over patterned pants at the moment! I love adding pops of bright colour and funky designs paired with a neutral sweater or tee. It just makes an outfit look so fun and cute. Bonus points if the pants feel like I am wearing pyjamas!

WHAT’S ON MY WISHLIST:
I would love to own the Ganni tie front blouse or something similar. I think these styles of tops are so pretty and feminine and would be fun to style.
FAVORITE AESTHETIC:
My favourite aesthetic has to be Scandi Style. It is just so timeless and I love the combination of comfy, quality basics with pops of colour and pattern to elevate an outfit.
MY TREND PREDICTIONS:
We have been starting to see a shift in attitude towards fashion, with slow and sustainable brands being preferred over fast fashion and micro-trends. Over the past few years, we've been cycling through trends so quickly, especially with social media constantly throwing at us things we need to buy to seem cool. I think that people want to slow down and embrace timeless pieces and conscience shopping, encouraging creativity to work with what we already own.
ONE CLOTHING ITEM I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:
My favourite tan leather jacket (thrifted!). It is just such a unique piece of clothing that is timeless and goes with everything.
MY FASHION MUSE:
My current go-to for outfit inspiration at the moment is from LA-based influencer Lindsey Rempalski. She is all about slow and sustainable fashion and I am inspired by how she creates beautiful and creative outfits with timeless pieces.
FAVORITE PART ABOUT INTERNING AT A STYLE SET:
Interning for A Style Set has sparked a passion for fashion and styling. I love researching and exploring trends, aesthetics and clothing to create outfit inspirations for all of you. Having this opportunity has also allowed me to put my design skills into practice which I am so grateful for.
