How to Serve Main Character: Quenlin Blackwell Edition

Influencer, model, actress, and internet royalty, Quenlin “Quen” Blackwell, has been building a career for herself since she started posting videos when she was 8. She’s one of a few internet personalities that was able to transition from Vine, to Tiktok, to Youtube, and dominate all three. The queen of memes, Quen never fails to gag, constantly making her audience laugh, with a face card that is never declining. In recent years she has been killing it in the fashion industry, walking runways, attending shows, and making covers. Now she is known for her killer personal style with a heavy Y2K influence- so here’s your guide on how to dress like the internet IT girl Quen Blackwell.

  1. Low-Rise

First worn by the IT girls of the 2000s, low-rise has been making a comeback this past year. Scrolling through her content, you’ll quickly notice that low-rise is Quen’s preferred fit of bottoms as she often fully embraces the nostalgia of the ultra low-rise. Accentuating her long torso and the “shelf” she has in the back, this fit has been the perfect way for her and many others, like myself, to embrace and be confident in their bodies.

2. Halters

Whether it’s in her everyday style or on the red carpet, Quen will often choose a halter neckline. Helping to emphasize her shoulders and back, a halter dress or top is the perfect way for Quen to outline her body shape. As the internet queen has shown, she is not afraid to display a little skin and she doesn’t shy away from a narrow neckline. Even when wearing a full coverage top she opts for a no-bra look or low neckline, showing us how versatile this style can be.

3. Crops

Just like with the return of low-rise, the baby-tee is making a return from the 90s and 2000s, meaning Quen is at the forefront of this trend. Often choosing a graphic style of tee with a funny message or sultry image, crop tops and baby-tees are the perfect way for Quen to style her love of low-rise. Crop tops have gotten a little bit longer since their popularity in 2016 when they were typically paired with high-waisted pants, making it more stylish than ever to wear low waist pants. When she’s not in a graphic tee, Quen loves her basic crops, opting for a tighter style that hugs the body.

4. matching sets

Matching sets have always been popular since the velour tracksuits craze in the early 2000s; but of course, the style changes with trends. Quen loves her two-piece combo, which is always reflective of Y2K trends. Whether its micros shorts paired with a matching top, an all denim set, or a simple leggings set, a two-piece is convenient and cohesive. The queen has shown us how to get them in different styles and patterns, easily elevating your personal style.

5. Y2K Office siren

While Quen is never shying away from revealing styles, every now and then she will throw on a business casual fit that is reminiscent of a 2000s office siren. She loves her tight button ups showing some cleavage paired with a pair of small oval-shaped eye glasses, capri pants, and wedges or stilettos. Giving a sleek and mysterious vibe, Quen never fails to throw on a more “put together” fit.
