Our February Favorites: our favorite fashion finds this month with links to shop

Finally, the colder months are coming to an end so here are some great ways to update your wardrobe for the warmer weather. Here are the trends we’re loving and pieces we want to see more of!

Pink Outfits and accessories

Red accents have been having their moment over winter but with the warmth starting to come back we love the brighter pinks making their way into the spotlight. Wearing pink in the same way we have been styling red is the best way to include it in your outfits. With a pink shoe, bow, or bag you can add a little pop of colour to your outfit, or wear a pink pair of trousers or sweater to fully embrace this fun springtime colour.

Plaid and Gingham

We spoke about stripes in our January Favourites blog post so it’s only fair that gingham and plaid get their moment too. We absolutely love a gingham maxi dress paired with a sneaker and we are seeing so many more prints in different styles all over the place. Pairing a plaid pair of boxers and an oversized T-shirt with a ballet flat is a cute daytime look. Take a gingham maxi skirt and fitted tank with those same flats for a more dressed-up outfit. Including this print on your accessories like bows and scrunchies is also a fun way to wear this trend.

Big Glasses

We are loving the switch-up to the massive framed glasses trend we are seeing at the moment. They are big and draw the eye with their flattering shape. Whether you need glasses, use blue light glasses, or just love the way they look, this is the style for you if you want to make a statement.

Ballet Flats

Thankfully ballet flats aren’t going anywhere because we are loving all the outfits built off of this simple shoe. The jeans and ballet flat combo is so fun with the contrast between styles but also pairing them with a mini skirt and sweater for a more coquette look is just as cute. Wear basic black flats for a more tame style, a light pink for a classic ballet look, or red for a pop of colour.

Pleated Trousers

Wide-leg pants have been the go-to for many for years because they’re comfortable plus they look great, but it’s not always appropriate to be wearing your favourite pair of jeans which is where the pleated trouser comes in. Having a dressy, work-appropriate trouser in your wardrobe will save the day more times than you realise. Pair with a boxy white T-shirt and sneakers for a more casual look or with a button-up shirt and loafers for a day at the office.

The Smart Skirt

Taking the office style out to the streets has become super popular in the last couple of weeks with the office siren aesthetic blowing up. A big part of this more toned-down version of that style is the office-style midi pencil or otherwise smart-style skirts. Taking the same colour scheme of neutral greys and blues and playing with it a little works super well for styling this style of skirt. Take your skirt and pair it with a white or navy tank with a pair of flats and you can nail styling this piece.

Chunky Jewellery

We have always been told that you’re either gold or silver, never both, but recently the combination of the two has really started to make an appearance. Taking your chunky jewellery and mixing the metals creates so much more interest in the pieces and contrast when you’re layering them together. A bunch of different coloured rings on the same hand or different coloured earrings is such a fun combination. Take your gold watch and pair it with chunky silver bracelets or vice versa for a beautiful combination.
