Exploring The Latest Fashion Aesthetics

With so many different aesthetics on the rise at the moment we’ve decided to pile them all together to go through what they’re all about and some of our favourite pieces in each style to help you all out.

Coquette

The biggest trend we have seen over the last three months would have to be the croquette aesthetic. With historical influence at its roots, we are seeing plenty of lace and frills not dissimilar to what we know and love in Bridgerton and Pride and Prejudice. We also are seeing an influence from ballet-core with plenty of baby pinks and blues, stockings, ballet flats, and skirts. The biggest part of this trend we have seen booming has been bows on everything, and we are loving the girly twist that has been pulled into so many other aesthetics at the moment.

Mob Wife

Big hair, big sunnies, and big fur coats are the staples of this aesthetic. We’ve seen the rise of the mob wife style over the last month or so as people are moving from the clean girl aesthetic. We’re loving the vintage style we’re seeing being brought back with the glitz and glamour of the 1940’s mob wives. Accessorise with big gold jewellery, statement diamonds, and your knee-high boots out to play with this style and don’t be afraid to splash a little animal print as well.

Eclectic Grandpa

This aesthetic is all about pairing pieces that shouldn’t go together in a way that somehow works. Lots of layering with vests, patchwork jackets, and chunky knits. Mixing smart with casual like long wollen coats and jeans. Stick to the oversized styles and mix in a bit of sport-style with sneakers and a wide-leg pant to keep things comfortable. Don’t forget to pair everything with a boat shoe for maximum comfort.

SHOP OUR FAVOURITES:

Coastal Granddaughter

Natural fabrics and comfy pieces are the best way to embody the coastal granddaughter style. Stick to the coastal-inspired palette of sky blue, seafoam green, sand, and off-white. Think woollen knits, linen pants, flowy sun dresses, and of course don’t forget your bikinis. With this very coastal-inspired style, you’ll be warm and comfortable as you go about your day under the sun.

Geek Chic

If you’ve seen any of the latest Miu Miu collections you’ll know the general style choices of the geek chic aesthetic. Think business casual but raise your hemlines an inch or two. With librarian glasses on the rise, you’ll want to pair them with knee-high socks, and ballet flats. Stick to a muted palette with the charcoal greys, burgundy, and browns.

SHOP OUR FAVOURITES:

Blokette

Contrast is your best friend when dressing to the blokette aesthetic. The perfect combination is an oversized soccer jersey and your favourite denim skirt or any style of pants that doesn’t necessarily match. Pair layered jewellery over a baggy t-shirt and jeans or any similar combination of pieces you wouldn’t expect. A cute addition would be bows in your hair or bright-coloured sneakers.

SHOP OUR FAVOURITES:

Rockstar Girlfriend

Combining the styles and themes we see in the rock ‘n’ roll cultures of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Look for leather, chunky silver jewellery, platform boots, dark colours, and smudged makeup. A massive 180 from the clean girl aesthetic that has been popular recently. With grunge-inspired looks it’s all about being carefree and authentic in your own way. Take your favourite band tee and dark eyeliner while you party the night away.

Scandi Style

We are still loving the Scandi style and all the pieces that come with it. Stripes, big silhouettes, and warm coats are some of the features of this style with Matilda Djerf as our muse.
