A Style Set Founder Erin’s Favorites: Top Trends, Shopping Recs, And More!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared my favorites. From trends I’ve been seeing walking around NYC to my top wishlist items, I’ve been so inspired by fashion lately. Check out my current style favorites below!

LIVING IN: New York City
OOTD: I kept it casual today and wore my Polo Ralph Lauren vintage striped top, dark wash baggy jeans, UGG minis, and my North Face puffer jacket. I love wearing this top in the winter because it’s super worn-in and cozy.
MY STYLE: I would say my style is minimalistic with a bit of an edge. I gravitate towards oversized silhouettes, neutrals, simple basics, and adding little bits of color and fun accessories to elevate my outfits and make them unique.
FAVORITE TREND: One of my favorite trend at the moment has to be rugby shirts. I thrifted a few a couple years back and I find myself wearing them more often than ever. I usually pair them with baggy jeans and loafers, mixing both preppy and edgy styles.
I also can’t leave out 90s bayonetta glasses, both in oval and rectangular frames. They elevate any outfit in the coolest way possible. Shop my favorites:
LAST PURCHASE: I just ordered the UGG Tasman slippers. I’ve had my eye on them for a while and I finally decided to go for it. I think they’ll be a wardrobe essential I’ll wear for years to come both in and out of the house.
EVERYDAY SHOE: Black loafers. I wear them with everything from jeans to skirts to dresses. I love that they can be dressed up or down depending on the vibe (plus they’re super comfortable!!).
THE IT PURSE: I received the Longchamp Le Pilage mini pouch as a birthday gift and it’s quickly becoming my everyday bag. Perfect to store just what I need but not too much and wear as a crossbody.
FAVORITE AESTHETIC: I’m a Scandi style girl through and through. I visited Copenhagen last year and was so inspired by the Danish way of dressing – from unique, effortless layering to adding pops of color. I love pairing simple basics with fun accessories and layering with oversized pieces.
ON THE WISHLIST: A denim overshirt. I love a denim on denim look, and I’m on the hunt for a lightweight, slightly oversized denim overshirt that I can wear with jeans or just layer over a plain white tee. Ideally I’d like to find a perfectly worn-in one from a thrift store.
BEST STYLE ADVICE: I have two tips – comfort is key and less is more! Even though I love dressing up once in a while, I always feel the most confident when I’m comfortable in my outfits. To me, that often means opting for sneakers or loafers instead of heels, or jeans instead of skirts – especially because I live in New York and walk everywhere. With that being said, I also have very limited closet space in my apartment, so having a minimal wardrobe with pieces I can mix and match and wear on repeat is absolutely essential.
FASHION MUSE: I take a lot of inspiration from @sina.anjulie’s style. She’s a Berlin-based creator with simple elevated street style. I love her latest winter layered looks.
STYLE TRENDS IN NYC: I’ve been seeing a lot of people wear track pants styled with oversized leather jackets, sweaters, and hoodies. I used to notice people wear mostly sneakers, like Adidas Sambas, with their daily outfits, but lately I’ve been seeing more people embracing ballet flats and loafers as their everyday shoe.
FAVORITE SHOPPING SPOTS IN NYC: There are too many to count! I’d say my favorite spots at the moment are Buffalo Exchange and 2nd STREET for lucky thrift/vintage finds, Guizio and Ganni for high-quality, trendy pieces, and Designer Revival for luxury vintage.
