It’s a new year, which means it’s time to experiment with new fashion trends and step outside of our comfort zone. After scouring the internet for inspiration, traveling to different cities around the world, and asking you – our community – for your predictions, I’ve come up with a list of my top 7.

Leopard Print

A Y2K favorite – and you either love it or hate it – leopard print is back with a modern twist. I’ve been seeing it on wide-leg jeans, oversized coats, and even sneakers, and although I was hesitant to welcome this trend back, it’s starting to grow on me. The key to styling this bold print is to keep it simple with other basics and neutral colors.

Bows

We asked you for your favorite 2023-24 trends, and there was a clear consensus: bows, bows, and more bows. As ballet-core and coquette styles gained popularity in 2023, it’s no surprise that bows are here to stay in 2024. This elegant trend makes it easy to add a little something extra to any aspect of your outfit, whether it be using ribbon as your shoelaces, adding a bow to your hair, or tying ribbon around your bag.

Bootcut jeans

We’re not quite ready to go back to skinny jeans (at least I’m not), but I’ve noticed a shift from super baggy jeans to slightly more tapered or straight-leg jeans. While you don’t need to throw your wide-leg jeans out yet, consider a low-rise bootleg option with a pair of kitten heels or boots for a more refined look.

Statement Shoes

POV: you’re walking down the street and you see a girl wearing an all-black look with red biker boots. She looks effortlessly cool. That’s what I mean by statement shoes. Pairing a bold shoe choice with a simple outfit instantly adds the “cool-factor”. From different colors to fun patterns, textures, and embellishments, the options are endless and here are a few of our favorites:

Mixing Metals

This year is all about making a statement – and mixing metals is the perfect way to do so. Here at A Style Set, we’re loving bold silver and gold jewelry together, from chunky rings to bangles and layered necklaces.

Librarian Glasses

Bayonetta glasses are taking the internet by storm – popularized by Bella Hadid who has embraced the “librarian girl” aesthetic. These tiny frames can become your new accessory, whether you need glasses or not, and can often be purchased second-hand.

Embellished Socks

As you can probably tell by now, 2024 is the year of accessorizing, so it’s not surprising that socks won’t be left behind. We’ve been wearing crew socks with sneakers the past few seasons, but now we’re taking it a step further. In 2024, I think we’ll be seeing embellished socks more than ever. Think bows, beads, lace, bold colors – the whole nine yards. I also think people will start wearing their unique socks with heels and ballet flats rather than just sneakers.
