Our Guide To The Acubi Aesthetic

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably tired of the ever-changing fashion aesthetics. It’s nearly impossible to keep up with the fast-paced trend cycle which makes it hard to develop a style that lasts. That’s why the Acubi aesthetic is a personal favorite of mine. It’s simple yet still trendy, and we’re here for it. Here is everything you need to know about Acubi fashion so that you can introduce it into your wardrobe.

What is the Acubi aesthetic?

The Acubi aesthetic is characterized by minimalist Y2k streetwear. It’s the perfect mix of trendy and timeless. Originating in Korea, Acubi fashion is all about wearing basics and elevating them through unique styling, like layering a tank top with a sheer crochet sweater, wearing a mini skirt with high socks and chunky sneakers, or adding bold silver accessories and a slouchy crossbody bag to your fit. The Acubi style color palette is, as you may have guessed, neutral. Acubi girls wear simple hues like grey, white, and black, with an occasional pop of color.

What to buy to achieve the acubi aesthetic:

The Acubi style essentials: Look for plain tanks, baby tees, bolero tops, sheer and cut-out asymmetrical tops, cropped cardigans, low-rise baggy skater jeans, parachute pants, pleated trousers, and mini skirts. Invest in pieces that you can mix and match and wear on repeat.

HOW TO STYLE ACUBI OUTFITS:

Although Acubi fashion is minimalistic, there’s room to have fun with it and make it fit your style. Layering is a great way to achieve this aesthetic while also adding your own personal touch. For a streetwear look, consider pairing a bolero top with a tank and parachute pants, and accessorizing with over-the-ear headphones and a slouchy crossbody bag. For a day-to-day, softer look, you can wear a white flowy crop top with a cropped cardigan and baggy jeans. If you want to dress it up, throw on a sheer top with a pleated skirt and platform mary janes. To ensure your outfits match the Acubi aesthetic, stick to a muted color palette, wear fitted tops and baggy bottoms, and add layering pieces like bolero tops, cardigans, and sheer overshirts. If you prefer to wear more color, you can add pops of pastel blues, pinks, and greens to your outfits with your accessories.
